Altered chocolate box

Once the chocs are eaten the box often gets thrown away or put in the recycling but this one was such a useful size - it holds 2 stacks of 6 or 7 cds, I decided to collage it up a bit and use it to store my cds of vintage images and collage sheets etc.
I covered it with some K & Co Vintage themed scrapbook paper of old envelopes and postcards, then added 2 rubber stamped vintage images from The Stampsmith and an altered slide mount, then trimmed the edge with a scrap of old lace.
I think it looks really vintagey yet it sits next to my pc and doesn't look out of place.

It looks fabulous. Such a good idea. I have a couple of boxes of chocolates from xmas (Ive actually managed not to eat them all) and plenty of craft papers so this would be a good project to get started on. I love K and Co craft things and always look forward on QVC craft day if its a K and Co 'Todays special value' but these days it always seem to be Kanban products and Im not as keen on them. I have some lovely Anna Griffin papers so could try it with them. Thanks for sharing your ideas with us X

Jan,
I love to re-purpose things, so really glad you used that empty chocolate box. It turned out great.

Glad you enjoyed the bird nest tutorial. I always have more ideas than i can get done. I'm sure you know that feeling.;0)

I'll go check out some of those other sites now. Love some of the paper you used.

Blessings.
